    Previous experience working in a factory and operating manufacturing machinery is beneficial but not necessary

Qualifications Must have extensive experience in operating and setting up CNC turning lathes Install and properly align all tooling required to set up new and repeat jobs Prove-out new CNC programs and processes Familiar with turning tooling with knowledge of metal cutting parameters Knowledge of machine controls program codes fixtures and tool offsets and CNC systems Utilize all necessary gauges and equipment to properly inspect parts Evaluate first piece inspection reports and make any necessary changes Make dimensional offset adjustments and or tools changes as needed in addition to monitoring general quality and workmanship standards Understand calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as the speed feed and coolant flow able to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust the machine controls as needed Responsible for the operation of multiple machines at the same time.
